The French Girl’s Guide to Road Tripping Through the American Southwest Inline
Photo: Courtesy of Adeline Mai1/13A shot of Inès and Lars after he had just asked for her hand and she said yes. This was at the lowest point of the earth, the Badwater Basin in Death Valley.

Photo: Courtesy of Adeline Mai4/13At one point, we had to stop the car because I forgot to lock the trunk and our luggage fell out. While we were there, we decided to take photos of each other in the desert with the bright sun.
Photo: Courtesy of Adeline Mai5/13Had to take a bathroom break and grab a Diet Coke at this gas station in the middle of nowhere. We asked an old man there to take our picture, but he didn’t know anything about digital photography, so we had to teach him. He did a good job, even if it’s a little slanted.

Photo: Courtesy of Adeline Mai7/13We stopped at Mom’s Diner in Pahrump, Nevada, which we were told was the best homemade food in town. Adeline was in charge of finding the coolest places for us to eat in each place we visited.
Photo: Courtesy of Adeline Mai8/13While we were strolling around the Strip in Vegas, we somehow lost track of Inès. This was us waiting while Lars went looking for her. Apparently, she was losing all of his money at the blackjack table in one of the casinos near our hotel, The Palazzo.
