We go up to the Catskills with our good friends every August. Other than a trip to Zoom Flume, a tiny water park built into a beautiful gorge, our favorite activity is a trip to Westwind Orchard, an organic orchard run by stylist Laura Ferrara and her husband, Fabio Chizzola, in Accord. We like to pick raspberries, then stuff ourselves on their wood-fired pizzas. This is what I’ll wear when I go this summer.

I am mainly doing long weekends, as I have a few European weddings but hope to spend as much time as possible on beloved Shelter Island. I’ll pack a new Eres one-piece swimsuit (this year’s is in elephant gray) as well as La Roche-Posay Factor 50 for my face—the best! I’m also bringing my Saint Laurent wicker basket—so much more Company of Wolves than Little Red Riding Hood, it seemed an indulgence but is now indispensable. And I’m taking a copy of The Go-Between by L. P. Hartley; I have reread this book every summer since I was 14.

We (Hugo, my boyfriend, and I) are planning a road trip this summer from New York to his home state of Michigan, with a few scenic stops along the way—Niagara Falls, et cetera—and back again. This will require fab sunglasses; cute shorts (I love the retro vibe of these) with something adventure-ready up top; a good camera; an easy dress and a swimsuit, for once we arrive at the great lakes; sunscreen (!); and a good driving shoe, like these exquisite handmade moccasins by Cecilia Bringheli, whose company, CB Made in Italy, I have just found out about, also makes gorgeous pet accessories. (Hugo deserves a vacation wardrobe, too!)

I’m going to the Greek islands in July, and I’m determined to carry-on only (at least, on the way there; I’m assuming I won’t be able to resist picking up some rugs and textiles). The one thing I always have with me is a Turkish bath towel. It takes up no space, you can use it as a beach or picnic blanket, and it functions as a nice, big shawl if it gets cool at night. I’ll also be packing a couple of pairs of Jesse Kamm sailor pants. They’re the most flattering silhouette out there, keep you cool on hot days, and are far more comfortable than jeans. They’re also so high-waisted that a petite person like me can get away with pairing them with a bikini top as a going-out look. I’ll be wearing strappy bandeaux from Nu Swim, a line out of San Francisco, which makes really chic, simple suits in the most vivid colors.

I’m going to Ravello for my college roommate’s wedding at the end of June. I’m a bit of a bathing suit addict so I’ll be taking bikinis by Marysia, Dolce & Gabbana, and Shoshanna. I’ve also pretty much never met a white dress I didn’t like, so lots of cover-ups by Temptation Positano. I preordered this bag on Moda and can’t wait for it to arrive. These Hermès sandals are my all-time favorite summer shoe. Now, I just need a dress to wear to the wedding. I’m still on the hunt. . . .

I am traveling to Yerevan, Armenia, with my father to celebrate his birthday, and while I won’t be packing too many things, I won’t leave without a good bag and shoes. I plan on bringing my Victoria Beckham Half Moon bag to hold any new treasures, while my Yeezy Season 2 boots will keep my feet clad chicly over any rough terrain.

This summer, I will try to go out to the Hamptons as many weekends as possible, and also spend some time back home in Europe. Visiting friends and family on Sweden’s west coast and enjoying the beautiful French Riviera are always the highlights for me during the summer.
My luggage will include a white bikini, a nice beach towel, an off-the-shoulder dress, a pair of comfortable sandals, a shimmer oil, and sunscreen (very important!). I really like the combination of white and navy, especially to match with a tan. It is also a look that works perfectly on a sailing boat outside of Gothenburg’s harbor, as well as at Le Club 55 in St.-Tropez or on East Hampton beach!

I’m headed to Greece and the island I’m most excited about is Santorini. I’m staying at a cave hotel called Chromata in Imerovigli, and in the spirit of the blue and white colors that the island is so well known for, I thought I’d match my outfit to them. My favorite T-shirts are by Paige Denim, since they’re so ridiculously soft and perfect for warm weather, and I figured I’d pack some Ancient Greek Sandals because, well, why not?

I’ll be living my teen dreams this weekend watching Blink-182 perform at the X Games in Austin. I refuse to travel without my Slyder iPhone case this summer—it secrets away my cards and cash (and even a stick of gum) in a sliding drawer that lets me leave my wallet at home, making room for lip balm and giving me one less item to keep track of while I’m scream-singing with my eyes closed.

I’ll be back and forth between our house in the Catskills and my future in-laws’ house in East Hampton on weekends. Both destinations require plenty of SPF, and right now I’m obsessed with Kate Somerville’s tinted formula. For the beach, I’ll be packing plenty of light sundresses like my favorites from LoveShackFancy and my fun Elina Linardaki sandals. My Catskills uniform is slightly less beachy and consists of cut-off denim shorts, Baja surfer hoodies, and Birkenstocks.

I’m going to Tulum for a long weekend this month and plan to pack very lightly: scarves from Simrane in Paris for cover-ups during the day, slip dresses for nighttime, and K. Jacques’s Ellada sandals for when I have to wear shoes. For the beach, I’ll be filling my straw tote bag with Pratima’s natural face sunscreen, which I just picked up at the new Botanica Bazaar, and lots of games—Scrabble, backgammon, and paddle ball (all travel size!).
Frescobol Carioca Leblon beach bat, $269, frescobolcarioca.com; Clare V. backgammon set, $318, clarev.com; Pratima Neem Rose Face Sunscreen SPF 30, $36, pratimaskincare.com; K.Jacques Ellada Pul Natural leather sandals, $264, kjacques.fr; Love Bohemians French market basket, $16, etsy.com

While millions will descend to Rio come August for the Olympics, I will be attempting Portuguese on the other side of the world on the Algarve coast. Two girlfriends from Paris are road-tripping and meeting me and two other friends in Porto as we weave down the Mediterranean coast of Portugal. Ultimate girls’ road trip but only so many suitcases can fit in one European car trunk, so I’m packing superlight. Think weekend trip baggage but to last you seven days. My friend just got an Away travel luggage and loves how compact it is. The Tumi carry-on is ideal, too, as it has an expandable option for all the souvenirs I’ll pick up along the way. For trips like these, I usually throw as many swimsuits in my suitcase as I can and then mix and match. You can’t go to Portugal and not wear a pair of espadrilles as the locals do. They’re great for exploring during the day and nights out as well—this Spanish brand is a European favorite, I know Parisians that own four different kinds of this same shoe. To document the whole thing? An Olympus Mju II film camera.
Onia Danni bikini top, $95, farfetch.com; Onia Lily sporty bikini bottoms, $95, farfetch.com; Away the carry-on, $225, awaytravel.com; Castaner Carina 6 basic line, $113, castaner.com; Feiyue x Solid & Striped The Valerie, $88, solidandstriped.com; Olympus Mji II 35mm Champagne weatherproof compact film camera, $130, etsy.com
