I’ll keep it simple and wear a cooler version of my already tried-and-tested black-tie go-to: the tuxedo. Maybe I’ll dress it up a bit more with these jeweled sandals from Roger Vivier.

My goal for this summer is to wear more prints—I’m over the monochromatic look of the cold-weather months! I’m sticking to this when it comes to engagement parties in San Francisco and weddings here in New York. I recently found a vintage piece from the ’70s with a vibrant tulip design, and I love the authentic hand-printed designs of Isolda. It’s hard not to lust after the Gucci florals this summer, too. Perhaps not groundbreaking, but weddings are certainly no place for a LBD or LWD, so might as well go LPD (little print dress).

What does one wear to the wedding of two fabulous women—Christine Tran and Becca McCharen—in Bushwick? Talk about destination weddings (where is this? How will I even get there?). I will probably wear my giant baby blue Molly Goddard tutu dress—so light, so festive, so nuts. And glitter ballet slippers! Who says you can’t dress like a giant 6-year-old at a summer wedding?

This summer, I’m relying on a Self-Portrait dress and Manolo Blahnik shoes. I like to keep it classic and simple when attending weddings, as there is no reason for a non-“no fuss, no muss” moment. It’s all about the bride, so just keep your look appropriate!

I adore this jacquard dress by Brock Collection. The golden-hued floral pattern feels celebratory, perfect for a garden wedding. I’m a bridesmaid in two weddings this summer, but when I can choose my own dress, I may go with this.

I am on the wedding world tour! First stop: northern Spain. New Yorkers know how to dress for the heat, so a navy linen dress from Altuzarra and a Gigi Burris Été hat (have loved it since it appeared in Vogue on Léa Seydoux). I am wearing a flamenco Proenza Schouler top and skirt for the rehearsal—my living emoji moment. Second stop: Cork, Ireland. One should be prepared for intemperate weather and shivering castles at “summer weddings” in this part of the world. So, an Erdem gown and a Brock Collection white dressing gown fur. Third stop: Sussex, England. The perfect English Rose is getting married in her mother’s idyllic garden. A cotton Nina Ricci rosebud sheath dress from Resort will be simply ideal.

Two novelist pals of mine are getting married outside Woodstock later this month, which means I’ve got to thread the needle between formal and low-key. With that in mind, I’m thinking of pulling out my purple lace pencil dress—vintage Comme des Garçons, circa 1998—and pairing it with Feit’s streamlined take on the Birkenstock and J.W.Anderson’s double-sphere earrings.

Nothing beats wearing a classic navy suit in summer with a crisp white shirt. I love the ones from Givenchy because they make it so easy to go from formal to casual—read: outdoor ceremony to dance floor—just by changing up a pair of shoes.

Even though I’ve been invited to a grand total of zero summer weddings this year, I have my eye on this heart-print Christopher Kane dress, which would be perfect for any type of affair, beach to ballroom. In past summers when I’ve found myself at a wedding every weekend, I always wear the same dress—who can be bothered to shop for more?—and just change up my hair, lipstick color, and shoes. It doesn’t always work . . . I once wore Adidas slides to a “chill backyard wedding.” Oops!

I had a front-heavy wedding season, and two of three have already come and gone. For a wedding in Detroit at a former Ford factory, I wore this Preen by Thornton Bregazzidress with matching Of Rare Origin birdcage earrings and nude Paul Andrew strappy sandals. I like that it has these odd cutouts and shapes but it’s still a pastel, floral-printed dress, so it’s a well-rounded individual. The Of Rare Origin earrings feel like having a fairy tale on my ear, and they are always a great conversation-starter. I brought the outfit back for a dune-side wedding in Quogue a few weeks later. I’m a big fan of the repeat wedding ensemble, and when it’s a different group, it’s pretty much seamless and no one’s the wiser—although this post pretty much ruins that!
