That’s Mrs. Americana to you! Following the announcement of the pop superstar and Travis Kelce’s engagement back in August, slowly, the details of Taylor Swift’s engagement ring began to hit.
The pair announced their engagement news on August 26. Or, as they put it in a joint Instagram post: “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.”
Swift wore a black-and-white striped Ralph Lauren halter dress, brown Louis Vuitton heeled sandals, an LV Damier bracelet, and a gold Cartier Santos Demoiselle Quartz watch with a diamond-encrusted face for her flower-filled engagement to the Kansas City Chiefs tight end. But, unsurprisingly, our eyes were trained on her ring.
Kelce worked with Kindred Lubeck of Artifex Fine Cheap Replica Handbags to design the ring. Kelce popped the question with a brilliant-cut old mine diamond rounded at the corners, which was bezel-set in yellow gold with engraving on the side of the band. Clearly, there was no need to sacrifice any of the four C’s: the colorless diamond took up much of her left ring finger’s real estate.
Speaking on the British radio show Heart Breakfast with Jamie Theakston and Emma Bunton on October 3—The Life of a Showgirl’s release day—Swift shared more about her ring.
Swift related that she had shown Kelce Lubeck’s work previously. “I just thought her stuff was so cool, so I had shown him a video a year and a half ago…And he was paying attention to everything it turns out...when I saw the ring I was like [gasp], ‘I know who made that!’…He listens to me! Like, you really know me. I didn’t know what I would want, but he did somehow, and that’s kind of a flex.”
“He did amazing!”
After a brief spell away from the public eye—with sporadic dinners at Bird Streets Club and Chez Margaux—Swift made a return to the red carpet at the iHeartRadio Music Awards. As well as extending her record number of iHeartRadio Awards to 41 with seven new gongs across the evening, it also marked the red carpet debut of her ring. (Styled with a custom pistachio green Wiederhoeft corset and mini-skirt, Dena Kemp tourmaline earrings, rings by Selim Mouzannar and Ldezen, a Spinelli Kilcollin tennis bracelet, and Nak Armstrong ear cuff.)
While Kelce didn’t walk the red carpet with Swift, it was their first awards show together—and the couple put on a loving display.
The pop superstar’s 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, set the world ablaze, building out its glitzy visual world with Bob Mackie showgirl costumes—her bling certainly matches this era. There’s something to be said about a Taylor Swift engagement ring trend, too: either way, she’s in excellent company with her bezel-set engagement ring. Zendaya debuted her own button-back Jessica McCormack ring at the 2025 Golden Globes, while Charlie McDowell proposed to Lily Collins with a rose-cut bezel from designer Irene Neuwirth. (Do we sense the next big engagement ring trend?)
It’s a love story, baby, and Taylor Swift said “yes!”
