The bride wore…blue?
Zendaya fittingly brought the drama to the New York premiere of The Drama in a strapless Schiaparelli ballgown. The finale dress, outfitted with a tiered skirt and covered in black and electric blue ombré feathers, hailed from Schiaparelli’s spring 2026 couture collectsion. She called in reinforcements from Tiffany & Co., whose supplied her with sapphire-laden earrings and rings.
The finale dress finishes off a series of looks that abide by the wedding tradition and rhyme “something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue.” Since mid-March, Zendaya and stylist Law Roach have put their own spin on the Victorian-era superstition, which is meant to bring the bride good luck and prosperity in her marriage.
At the Los Angeles premiere, Z rewore the (very bridal) Vivienne Westwood gown from the 2015 Oscars for her “something old.” Her “something new” followed in a custom white Louis Vuitton column dress with a long black train. As for her “something borrowed,” she and Roach tapped Cate Blanchett, who lent her a black Armani Privé gown with a plunging, embellished neckline.
Zendaya has previously dipped a toe into blue while promoting The Drama. For her appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, she chose a flowing seafoam McQueen dress from the fall 2026 collectsion, splashed with sky blue and pale pink flowers. She got closer to true blue for her spot on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in a navy, boudoir-esque Zimmermann dress.
“Is that her ‘something blue?’” some Vogue staffers wondered. But, as ever, when Zendaya wants to convey a message with her fashion, she’ll make it clear.
