Photographed by George Powell/Written Light, UK1/25I have worked at Gucci for four years now. Years earlier, I saw a deep fuchsia runway version of this dress from one of Frida Giannini’s first-ever collectsions for the house, and I thought the silhouette would make for a really beautiful wedding dress. I couldn’t believe it when Gucci agreed to re-create it specifically for me. We made only small modifications to the original design, like adding lace to the collar and using a belt rather than a sash around the waist. I didn’t try on any other wedding dresses—this was the only one I ever wanted to wear.
Photographed by George Powell/Written Light, UK2/25I always wanted a very small bouquet, and pale pink roses are my favorite flowers. My veil had a beautiful Italian lace trim to it. I think it’s the first wedding veil Gucci ever made.
Photographed by George Powell/Written Light, UK3/25The collar on my Gucci dress. I still have to pinch myself to believe I was lucky enough to wear this on my wedding day.
Photographed by George Powell/Written Light, UK4/25I did many trials with my amazing hairdresser Adrianne Jones. In the end, we decided on a simple low bun with a center part, as it worked best with the neckline of the dress. Here she is putting in some Art Deco diamond-star Jessica McCormack hair clips which went perfectly with the earrings, a wedding gift from my parents-in-law.

Photographed by George Powell/Written Light, UK7/25The flower girls and page boys in the Blue Bar at the Berkeley just before they went over to the church. The little girls all wore white velvet capes over their dresses to keep warm, and the boys wore navy blue custom-made military-inspired outfits designed by my husband, George.

Photographed by George Powell/Written Light, UK9/25Walking from the Berkeley Hotel to the church with my father was a surreal but exciting moment.
Photographed by George Powell/Written Light, UK10/25My favorite florist, Nikki Tibbles of Wild & Heart, did all of the flowers for our lunch reception at the Berkeley Hotel, my bouquet, and these garlands for all the flower girls, as well as the groomsmen’s buttonholes.

Photographed by George Powell/Written Light, UK12/25We got married at St. Paul’s Knightsbridge which is one of the most beautiful churches in London. It is also where my parents-in-law were married many years ago, so it felt special to follow in their footsteps.
Photographed by George Powell/Written Light, UK13/25Just married, and very, very happy.
Photographed by George Powell/Written Light, UK14/25This was one of the funniest moments of the day: getting all the little flower girls and page boys together to do a photograph with us. They behaved immaculately in the church, but they were slightly over it by this stage so things quickly descended into chaos.
Photographed by George Powell/Written Light, UK15/25London can be pretty gray, cold, and rainy in February. The sun came out for us as we exited the church, though.
Photographed by George Powell/Written Light, UK16/25My very talented friend Fin Fellowes does beautiful illustrations so I asked her to create something special for us. As it was February, I wanted it to be feminine and elegant but not too summery or girly. She started with our monogram and this pretty much set the theme of the whole wedding. She did all the invitations, our order of service, and the escort cards and cocktail menus for the dinner.

Photographed by George Powell/Written Light, UK18/25Our cake was made by Trudy Mitchell of JellyCake, who is based in Gloucestershire near where my parents live. It was vanilla sponge and totally delicious. Nikki Tibbles decorated it with my favorite pink roses.

Photographed by George Powell/Written Light, UK20/25Cutting the cake at the Berkeley Hotel. Nikki re-created the floral monogram designed by Fin Fellowes as a backdrop for the speeches and cake-cutting. She outdid herself—I was blown away when I walked into the ballroom.

Photographed by George Powell/Written Light, UK22/25In the evening, George and I hosted a small dinner at Little House Mayfair. Sophia Kah made my beautiful white lace dress, and I wore it with Gianvito Rossi heels and diamond wing earrings by Jessica McCormack.
