Who won Paris Fashion Week? Well, Doechii and Chappell Roan certainly threw their glam hats in the ring this week. Both looked to their trusted hair and makeup artists to articulate some of their most avant-garde and ambitious looks yet. For Doechii, it was bombshell waves at Schiaparelli and braided bunches for Acne Studios by hairstylist Malcolm Marquez. For Chappell, it was extraterrestrial beauty by her go-to Andrew Dahling and nipple piercing-esque nails to sit front row at Rick Owens. Amid the tumult and chaos of the backstage areas, makeup artist Thomas de Kluyver experimented with lengthy lashes for Courrèges, and the iconic hairstylist Guido Palau responded to the sensual and sexy brief of Haider Ackermann’s Tom Ford debut with sculptural, two-toned cropped hair.
Elsewhere, celebrity beauty got bold: Juan Alvear created a nail set for Lisa that reflected every one of her “alter egos”—Roxi, Sunni, Kiki, Speedi and Vixi—to celebrate the drop of her debut album of the same name, with striking gothic gradiants, heart decals, and playful stained checkerboards. Serious storytelling, all on the expanse of a mani. Nails were also a playground as ever for Mei Kawajiri with a neon 3D set for Clairo. We also fell in love with J-pop girl group on the rise F5ve, and in particular, Rui’s cherry cola hair.

Doechii’s Paris Fashion Week glam
Doechii’s glam won Paris Fashion Week: kudos to stylist Sam Wolfe, hairstylist Malcolm Marquez, and makeup artist Makeup by Chelsea. From the jellyfish cut at Haider Ackermann’s Tom Ford debut to her radiant glam to match the canary yellow Valentino couture gown, her braided bunches at Acne Studios, and the total bombshell waves and blush at Schiaparelli—Doechii done good.

Nicolas Di Felice’s Courrèges Fall 2025 show in Paris this week was an endorphin-invigorating ode to the club and its sexy ravers: Scarves as dresses, singular ostrich feathers as tops, sheer, sheer, and more sheer amid bursts of confetti. Thomas de Kluyver’s beauty brief found a similar rhythm, with hypnotizing, two-pronged eyelashes.

Japanese nail artist Mei Kawajiri’s nail art ouvre is kaleidoscopic, ambitious, and playful—bringing fun digits to Sabrina Carpenter, Bad Bunny, and now, Clairo. These “communicator” nails make total sense for a pop it-girl who makes music to yearn to. Should you text them back? Book your mani first.

Chappell Roan’s alien beauty at Rick Owens
Chappell Roan went hard this Paris Fashion Week. “I love looking pretty and scary,” she told Jimmy Fallon last year. For Rick, she wore an aluminium-toned Prong dress and painted her face with insect-like lines and orbs, joining her XXL eyeliner to her eyebrows, and wearing white-out contact lenses. Another winning look by her longtime makeup artist Andrew Dahling, whose work revels in drag references and the colorful. Peep her nipple piercing-mimicking nails too!
6/9Lisa’s “Alter Ego” nails
Juan Alvear is a nail pro tapped by Chappell Roan, Julia Fox, Tate McRae, and most often, Lisa. From her gothic gradiant stiletto nails at the Oscars to gold and milky ombré nails at the White Lotus premiere, Alvear knows how to articulate Lisa’s playful but still put together vibe. Here, that’s with a fresh set inspired by each of her alter egos, as per her debut album’s name.
7/9F5ve’s Rui’s cherry hair
F5ve are the alluring, galactic pop quintet of the moment, who are close to dropping their debut album. Self-describings as “inter-dimensional dream agents from Tokyo” working to “eradicate self-doubt and bad vibes,” their overall aesthetic pulls from similarly sunny moods, Sailor Moon, Y2K nostalgia, and more off-kilter high fashion moments. Rui’s curled, cherry cola hair captures it all.
8/9JT’s beachy cocktail glam
Barbie! JT shimmied into a pastel pink DSquared2 mini-dress emblazoned with a tropical beach side scene—so her makeup had to match. Blue sky eyeshadow and a full set of lashes, a pop of pink blush, a brown-lined lip and glossy finish calls for a mojito at sunset.

Nara Smith’s slicked and flicked bob
Nara Smith jetted to Paris for the Schiaparelli show, and brought her bob with her. Styled by Marty Harper, Smith’s hair was slicked down with a singular front curl, and flicked out high at the nape of her neck the classic beauty style she loves.
