Hallo Hamburg! Chanel Hosts Its Métiers d’Art Dinner

For Karl Lagerfeld’s triumphant homecoming after-party in Hamburg, Chanel created Dock 5, a space that felt almost make-believe to the audience who’d flown in from all corners. After experiencing the lofty super-modern architecture of Herzog & de Meuron’s Elbphilharmonie, where the nautical-themed collectsion was shown, the audience was shipped down cobbled streets to a dark waterfront, there, to step into an entranceway constructed from what seemed to be a rusty ship container.
