Gucci Décor Debuts With an Over-the-Top Dinner at Bergdorf Goodman

Bergdorf Goodman’s BG Restaurant, located on the top floor of the 118-year-old Manhattan department store, was fully transformed last night into a baroque fever dream straight from the mind of Gucci Creative Director Alessandro Michele. The eatery, which normally serves as a lunch hot spot for daytime shoppers, had been fully redesigned over three days to include all of the items in the newly launched Gucci Décor collectsion—down to the wallpaper in every room. From roaring tiger chairs to serpent accent pillows, the space reflected the next chapter of Michele’s vision for the Gucci brand. Even the evening’s meal, a gem lettuce salad, a delicate halibut filet, and an Italian plum tart, were served atop green and white Herbarium crockery from the collectsion. For the Gucci-obsessive in all of us, this is the next frontier.
