In Paris, Jonathan Simkhai and Alex Carl Hosted a Decadent Dînatoire

As Paris Fashion Week winds down, Jonathan Simkhai and Alex Carl are keeping the party alive. The Los Angeles-based designer and stylist hosted an intimate dinner party to toast Simkhai’s spring 2023 collectsion at a chic apartment in the Marais.

Unlike regular dinner parties where guests are assigned a seat for the night, Simkhai wanted his guests to enjoy a delicious meal without all the fuss. So, instead of a formal sit-down affair, French chef Pierre Touitou prepared a candle-lit table dressed with delectable dishes from shishito peppers to artichoke hearts and roasted beets.

Nearby a gorgeous fireplace offered an aesthetically pleasing warmth while guests chatted on the couches with glasses of Champagne in hand. Floating through the room, the duo gathered friends and fashion swans like Christine Quinn, Law Roach, Aquaria, Ikram Abdi, Mia Regan, Paris Hilinski, Rachel Marx, Lulu Tenney, Declan Chan, Pernille Teisbaek, Tamu McPherson, Deborah Ababio, Vikram Kansara, Vogue France’s Thomas Delage, and British Vogue’s Julia Hobbs for the fun-filled evening.

“My vibe was to bring creatives together to enjoy an incredible night in Paris my way,” Simkhai smiled. The cozy apartment was dressed in a modern maximalist meets edgy minimal style, of course, with a Californian twist.

Setting the tone for the night, DJ Belaria, sporting a cut-out look from Simkhai’s latest collectsion, spun vinyl records while guests mixed and mingled. Amongst the all-night raves and over-the-top after parties, leave it to Simkhai to throw an effortlessly cool party in Paris.
