Designers Maryam Nassir Zadeh and Sophie Buhai are friends before they are fashion colleagues. “We go way back to my days in L.A.,” said Zadeh, as she welcomed guests into a beautiful Saint-Germain apartment. “It’s hard to believe we’ve known each other for 15 years.” Their annual soiree in Paris is undoubtedly a family affair, with all their nearest and dearest gathered from far and wide. Chic locals such as stylist Camille Bidault-Waddington mingled with a cool crowd of New Yorkers, among whom were model Andreea Diaconu and shoe designer Mari Giudicelli. “We thought we’d bring an L.A. vibe to it, so that means you come and go as you please, get a shot of tequila at the door, and there’s an easy, intimate feeling,” said Buhai.
