Riccardo Tisci’s Squad Just Does It in Style

“I feel like you can always be yourself in this city,” said Riccardo Tisci. “It’s good to be here.” The designer was in New York last night celebrating the launch of his latest collaboration with Nike. And with his nearest and dearest surrounding him—the likes of supermodel Naomi Campbell and downtown nightlife doyenne Ladyfag—the mood at the Socialista club in Soho was warm and familial. Just hours earlier, Tisci had held an intimate presentation a few blocks away at Nike’s 21 Mercer space to showcase the full range of his new Victorious Minotaurs collectsion. The Air Force 1 shoe has always been a favorite of the Italian-born designer, and a star-studded version of the sneaker figured into his lineup of stylish sportswear.
