Sabine Getty Hosts a Christmas Jumper Party at Her Home in London

London’s St. James’s has an untouchable, exclusive mystique—it’s very much a members-only kind of neighborhood, normally filled with finely tailored suits and thick cigar smoke. But last night, a colorful riot of festive sweaters descended on the new apartment of jeweler Sabine Getty and her husband, Joseph. The theme was Christmas Jumper Cocktail. “I know, I know,” Getty laughed as she welcomed guests into her jewel-box drawing room, acknowledging the fact that there were no reindeer or snowflakes on the host, in her mini Alessandra Rich bouclé tweed jacket dress and micro-bloomers. But the room was filled with many who welcomed a dress code that combined both cozy cashmere and decadent glamour, one standout being designer Racil Chalhoub in a sequin rainbow paneled Gucci skirt and oversize knit, and Joseph in his Jean-Charles de Castelbajac Pink Panther jumper.
