This New York–based psyche-rock band released their first full-length album, Human Ceremony, two weeks ago but have been the coolest local act to catch for several years. Singer and bassist Julia Cumming is also a budding model, who’s been featured in several Saint Laurent campaigns and runway shows.

Canadian crooner Tobias Jesso, Jr. has a voice that goes down easy and a head of perfect curls, making him a more than adequate male muse for YSL.

Fronted by Staz Lindes, the model-guitarist and daughter of Dire Straits’s Hal Lindes, The Paranoyds are well known in the L.A. scene for their proto-punk sound. Having played several Saint Laurent parties in the past, the group is also billed as the headliner of tonight’s event.

These English-bred rockers have a neo-psyche sound that fits seamlessly with Saint Laurent’s California vibe—for proof, listen to their best-known track, “Shelter Song.” Singer and guitarist James Edward Bagshaw has been featured in the brand’s Music Project with his Gretsch hollow-body guitar.

Curtis Harding’s addictive music has a soulful, Motown groove. The singer has posed for Saint Laurent ads when not recording in his hometown of Atlanta.

Clementine Creevy, Sasami Ashworth, Sean Redman, and Tabor Allen make up Cherry Glazzer, a band whose bright sound and peppy riffs are hard to ignore. Creevy has been one of Slimane’s favorites for a while, walking in runway shows and appearing in Saint Laurent campaigns.

Founded in Oakland by Cole Becker and Joey Armstrong, Swmrs—pronounced Swimmers—wrote the track “Like Harry Dean Stanton” for Saint Laurent’s Surf Sound Spring 2016 men’s collectsion.

DIIV frontman Zachary Cole Smith was recruited into the Saint Laurent gang after his girlfriend, Sky Ferreira, became one of Slimane’s first models for the house. Since then, the group has played Saint Laurent parties and sat front row at shows.

Born in Aix-en-Provence, Melody Prochet began releasing music under the name Melody’s Echo Chamber in 2012. Though still somewhat under the radar, her dreamy single “I Follow You” has become a cult favorite.

They wear all black, look great in skinny jeans, and play some of the most haunting post-punk music out there—it was only a matter of time before Slimane was turned on to Savages members Jehnny Beth, Ayşe Hassan, Fay Milton, and Gemma Thompson.

French pop singer Aleide provided the soundtrack for Saint Laurent’s Spring 2015 women’s show, a thumping, bass-heavy track that has serious club appeal. Aleide has since followed in Slimane’s footsteps and decamped to Los Angeles from Paris.
