Green Goddess: Supermodel Angela Lindvall’s Eco-Diary Inline

I believe this is the best way to get clear with what it is that really makes us happy. When I come from a place of claritys, I can be of service to others and make conscious choices in my life that affect the larger whole."

The foods we choose to eat—be it locally grown, organic vs. GMO and pesticide-grown food—is the biggest aspect of how we can live a healthier life and have a healthier planet. Factory farming is not only inhumane, but it has detrimental effects on the air, soil, and water. So I only eat and feed my family the highest-quality, organic, locally grown foods."
Photo: Chris Chandler3/7"Supporting our small local farmers is key. I personally grow a lot of my own veggies and fruits, raise my own chickens and bunnies, and then order bulk organic grains. This is the most cost-effective way of eating organic. By eliminating foods that are processed and full of synthetic chemicals and additives, we are preventing ourselves from developing cancer and disease that has been growing at an astronomical rate, thus protecting our earth as well."

Creating nutrient-rich compost full of microorganisms replenishes the earth with vital nutrients that we have slowly depleted from our Mother Earth. I support Kiss the Ground, a nonprofit bringing awareness around the importance of rebuilding the humus layers of the earth through composting, which in turn brings down our CO2 levels in the atmosphere."

My old space has become Greenleaf Oasis, a space where I will hold private health retreats. I cannot think of a better way to live than to cultivate the earth and create sacred space for people to come heal."
Photo: Chris Chandler6/7"When it comes to fashion, there are many more choices today than before. I love Amour Vert, Reformation, and Linda Loudermilk, to name a few eco-conscious brands. I also love all my high-fashion pieces that I know are collectsor's items I'll have forever. My Chanel wool jacket has been with me for over 10 years now, and I wear it daily.
"Vintage shopping is another favorite style choice of mine. There are so many great pieces out there that can be used again and again. I believe our Replica Belts tyle' is how we show up in the world, the choices we make, and a reflection of our core values. I'm also on the founding board of NRDC's Clean by Design—helping to reduce the environmental impact of the textile industry."
Photo: Chris Chandler7/7"When it comes to beauty products, I only put pure products on my skin. Our skin is our largest organ and will absorb whatever we put on it. What's good for our bodies is good for the planet. My favorite makeup brands are RMS, Josie Maran, and Jane Iredale. Skin Deep Cosmetics Database is a good place to check on the toxicity of products. I'm also a big supporter of Healthy Child Healthy World, an organization that helps to educate about toxic products and provide alternative resources."
