The Art Production Fund Hosted a Makeup Party at Chanel’s Atelier Beauté

Every year the Art Production Fund, an organization supporting artists in the buildouts of large-scale, public works, (think Ugo Rondinone’s day-glo stone towers in the Nevada desert and of course Prada Marfa) puts on a black-tie event. It’s dubbed the Art Production Gala and unsurprisingly, it’s quite the production.

This year’s party, which is honoring a husband and wife duo—he being the artist Tom Sachs and she being the Gagosian gallery director Sarah Hoover—is slated for next week but last night a sort of pre-party took place at Chanel’s Atelier Beauté boutique on SoHo’s Wooster Street. In attendance was APF director Casey Fremont Crowe, Isolde Brielmaier, Kyle DeWoody, Athena Calderone, Colby Mugrabi and Hoover herself, who is a longtime friend of Chanel.

The gals queued up for makeup touchups with Chanel artists and toured the second-floor space whilst sipping Champagne. Most left the event looking a little more spruced than when they had arrived and they also got a gift bag to boot.
