The Met Hosts Its First-Ever All Hallows’ Eve Benefit

Last night was a first for the Metropolitan Museum of Art: the inaugural All Hallows’ Eve benefit. The dress code read “mystical costume attire.” So, how would guests interpret this slightly nebulous theme? They brought out the fashion, of course. En masse (and en masque) the festive attendees were a highlights reel from the runways and red carpets of 2017. One partygoer glittered in Gucci’s diamanté bodysuit (á la Rihanna at Coachella), another guest wore her pink Giambattista Valli cupcake frock, and elsewhere were ethereal goddesses who hailed from the houses of Valentino and Dior.
