The Double Dutch Summer Classic at Lincoln Center
From 1974 to 1984, yearly double Dutch championships held on the Josie Robertson Plaza at Lincoln Center offered young people college scholarships, national fame, and the attention of the city. 30 years after it began, the double Dutch summer classic national competition returned.
