I am finishing this leg of the tour.

I'm working with Brett Alan Nelson.

He's my creative director.

I still love the mask, but it is superhero.

I would do the mask with this

It was the belt with the mask, with the gloves

I think the hair is gonna be, like, the focal point.

Like, it needs to be like, unbelievable.

[Doja] Brett pulls a lot of the clothing

and we kind of spitball,

like day of.

I like to be involved a lot

with my glam,

and it's kind of a joke at this point.

I will do some of my makeup.

And then it's more of a collaborative thing,

but me and my makeup artist will be like,

'I'll let you do it today.'

That's all I wanted to do is just the inside here.

[Doja] I was really deeply inspired by Gary Newman

for the set.

He had a show where there was these beautiful cubes

or blocks of light.

It was so simple

and it allowed the viewer to kind of see him.

I felt having more space to work and move,

it just worked out really well.

So I have keys, Rosati's on guitar

and then I've got drums and

two backup singers

and horns.

I see them as another entity

because I've worked with my band for a long time,

but we added horns to the whole tour

because the album was very dominant

of sax and things like that, so

I didn't think that my team could get more lovable,

But they came in and they're just like,

they rock. They're hilarious.

They're so sweet and I, I feel very comfortable around them.

[upbeat music]

When I sat in the chair, we knew what the outfit kind of was

and then we did the makeup and we had the blonde wig.

I was like, 'he's a speedboat salesman.'

Glam was kind of like, 'oh my god,

it's a speedboat salesman.'

And I was like, yeah, I look like the mom from Matilda.

Can we put this on your eye?

Chantelle, are these earrings too good?

[Chantelle] I love the earrings.

What about these? Look at these.

literally perfect.

It's just like, kind of more interesting than black

It works.

Makes it like an outfit and not a costume

To me.

I'm really inspired by Nina Hagen, Grace Jones, and

those are the two main women of the Eighties.

They just are latched to my brain.

Let's double stick it to something here.

I want you to stitch it to the neck.

[woman] Yeah, if you wanted to keep...

Just stitch it to the shoulders

I think that's, Yeah. I love these.
