[Text-To-Speech] Act of a fairy tale.
Gucci: Epilogue, the third part of the fairy tale
questioning the rules and traditions of fashion.
This collectsion is the closing act to a trilogy that began
with the celebration of the fashion show as magical ritual,
continued with a campaign created by the models themselves,
and now concludes with clothes being worn
by those who designed them.
As the creators now become the performers,
Epilogue is an end, but also a beginning,
as it attempts to imagine new ways of expression.

The Forum Boarium was the original docks of Rome,
and home to the city's biggest food market.
It was also a religious center with two major temples,
the Temple of Hercules Victor, and the Temple of Portunus.
Palazzo Sachetti is one of the most
beautiful buildings in Rome.
Constructed in 1542, the Renaissance architect
Antonio da Sangallo the Younger designed it for himself
and dedicated the final years of his life
to what he called the perfect building.

Known as a photographer of loners and dreamers,
Minneapolis-based Alex Soth is celebrated for his poetic
and sensitive portrayals of American lives and mythology.
He has published over 25 critically-acclaimed books
with over 50 solo exhibitions.
[Alex] One of the great pleasures of being a photographer
is having an excuse to stare at people.
But when I made a career out of this activity,
I learned that it also meant that people get to stare at me.
Photographers often ask if they can take my portrait.
And now I, you know, I feel like it's bad karma
if I turn them down, so I agree,
but I can't say it's always a comfortable experience.
So I'm not just a photographer of loners and dreamers,
I am a loner and a dreamer.
And I really became attracted to photography
because I liked working alone.
I kind of assumed I would be photographing in like,
deserted landscapes or something,
but I found over time that I needed people in the pictures
to energize the photographs.
And then as more time passed along,
I've I found I needed people alongside of me
to energize the work.
There's this kind of contradiction that I...
I am a loner, but I need other people to make my work.
And and this energy of contradiction, I feel like is what,
what Alessandro and what Gucci understands
better than anyone putting, contradictory elements together
to bring new life to something.
