I'm Kate Young and I'm a stylist.
This sweater from Dillard's
is by Max Studio.
It's a chunky knit.
It's an important piece for fall.

I think a cool way to wear this is
for a sort of chic casual look.
You can wear it with like,
a button-down Henley shirt
and when you put that with the cardigan
it sort of gives it
a more dressed up feeling.
This wide-leg, slightly high-waisted jean
with the long cardigan.
It has a really like,
classic, retro, preppy,
little bit collegiate feel
that I really like.
The cardigan can be great
because it substitutes
for a light jacket in cooler weather.
It feels like a back-to-school piece
which is really nice.
I always like the idea
of really warm clothes
before you need to wear them.

One way that the sweater
would work for the office
is if you wear a high-waisted skirt
and a little shell
with really nice high heels
and it's a really sexy look.
But then, when you put the cardigan with it,
the proportion's a little bit interesting
and you get the line of the skirt and the shell
but you're also warm enough
and sort of demure enough for the office.
I always like the idea of like,
a men's button-down shirt on the weekend.
They're soft, they're comfortable.
I think it's a really attractive look
on women of all sizes.
If you pair that with a legging
and a little ballet flat,
it's a cute look to begin with
and then you put the cardigan over top
and it's just a nice, easy like,
shopping, going to brunch, relaxed look.
It's a look that is about comfort
but you don't wanna wear sneakers with that
because then it becomes very
practical looking and frumpy,
so if you wear something like,
you know, a little patten ballet flat.
These are from Gianni Bini.
It keeps it sort of more dressed up.
They're a little bit chicer than a sneaker.
This sweater is a great versatile piece for fall
because it really can go from the office,
to the weekend,
to a sort of collegiate, preppy look for day.
I think it works in a lot of different ways.
