Cardi B Gets Ready for the Met Gala

When I first found out that like the Met Gala was dandyism,

I just, all I could think about is Harlem.

You know, when you walk the streets of Harlem,

you always have like custom stores

that actually make custom fits like this.

I never really seen somebody but a pastor dress like that.

Dress real dandy, dress real colorful.

Not even just colorful, just have a little twist to it,

'cause you don't really have to have color.

You could be dandy just wearing black.

This is like suits, but with seasoning on it.

The outfit is green.

So I wanted to go for a nice sultry, smoky eye.

And so she has contacts.

So she'd look very exotic.

The lash is gonna be nice and lifted.

[Cardi B] I'm always nervous every year.

We always get better and better and better.

I always learn from my mistakes.

[Cardi B] But we barely make mistakes.

The look that we're doing today

is actually heavily inspired by the texture of her gown.

We're gonna definitely be matching the aura.

For my nails, I feel very confident.

I already know that Coco bring it over the time.

Certainly confident.

I feel confident on my whole team.

It is actually more intimidating now

because I'm competing with like myself really.

Everybody always expect so much from me, especially here,

'cause they know that there's my department,

which, you know, it's overwhelming, but it's, I love it.

It just makes me sound like,

it's like I'm really a superstar.

'cause only the superstars get invited.

I'm at the Met Gala and you at the sala.

I feel great.

Feel like she looks amazing.

Today, has been a stressful day and I mean-
