Tell us about a place that you love

I do love the city of love, Paris.

When my mom and I are there, taking late night strolls

with her and just like the streets are empty

and it's like silent and beautiful and peaceful.

For me, the place that holds the most meaning is Kakuma

and that's the camp I was born in.

Even though it was a a refugee camp, was really

a place of hope for my family.

My parents home town in China, which is very rural

and it's a very different life.

It's just like a lovely reminder of family.

When have you felt your voice needed to be heard?

I've always had to use my voice.

It's not about when I felt I had to.

Being a woman of color, you're constantly having

to advocate for people like you.

As women, we have to come together.

It's extremely important for women right now

to have leaders and other women to look up to

or kind of help guide them in certain ways.

Inspiring people to be the best versions of themselves

and to love themselves for who they are.
