The Women’s March Organizers on What to Do Next
Released on 01/23/2017
If you know how to find the latest iPhone,
the latest gadget, all the great things that we love
then you know how to find an organization
that you can support or an initiative that you
can become a part of to help empower communities.
Volunteer at a church, volunteer at a youth center,
volunteer at an elder center.
volunteer at an elder center.
There's so many opportunities for people
to get involved locally.
The first step getting involved
is just identifying the issues you care about.
I think that Planned Parenthood
does absolutely critical work.
Neral Center for Reproductive Rights.
The Gathering for Justice.
The Arab American Association of New York.
Oxfam.
Ms. Foundation.
The Trevon Martin Foundation.
Justice League NYC.
There's so many.
All these organizations are so accessible.
Don't underestimate your power.
We cannot just complain and sit on the sidelines.
Analyze the problem.
We must be an active participant in finding solutions.
And I ask for you to always stand for what you believe in
because someone in a future generation's counting on you.
