Violette’s 5-Minute Guide to Zoom-Ready Makeup
Released on 03/29/2021
[soft acoustic music]
Hi guys!
Today, I can't believe this,
today's the day of the launch of my brand.
I definitely need to have like a few meetings
on Zoom for interviews throughout the day.
So I thought, why not filming this with Vogue
so we can show you how to get ready
and feel fantastic?
Because today, I really do need
to feel fantastic...
In five minutes.
Okay.
I have five minutes, I wanna feel amazing,
you see, I feel like wearing clothes before
is really gonna help to kinda set the tone
and the energy for how to get ready
really quick for a Zoom.
First of all,
I'm gonna do a little mini treatment.
This is what I do with my hair
and on my face.
So I'm gonna use the same product
I'm gonna show you.
[gasping] My wedding ring.
This is my baby.
Four years in the making.
My dream product,
that was to create a liquid cream in a spray,
that you can put on your scalp, your hair,
your face, everywhere.
Before you use it, always shake it
On the length of my hair, on my face.
[soft acoustic music]
And massage well.
It's gonna make your skin super moisturized.
And it's ultra soothing.
And it helps the skin to renew.
It settles really well.
Okay.
And done.
And I love how it leaves the skin for makeup.
Okay.
So now we're gonna go with my favorite,
one of my favorite products.
I dream of this product for so long.
I think my favorite is this one.
And then that's my second.
But first, I wanna put some lip balm.
This is from French pharmacy.
I don't know if you can find
this guy here, Dermoplasmine.
It's from the Laboratoires Boiron,
which is a pretty famous lab in France.
Hongepuff is the dry shampoo of my dreams.
And what's really good about this product
is that it brings back volume and it kills odors.
So it's really your best friend.
And the smell is amazing.
I really hate when my bangs is flat.
So it gives a little volume,
so you can even like, my hair is really clean,
so I don't need to do this,
but you can even go here in the roots,
just to bring volume.
Basically, with these two product,
my hair is done.
You know, I like when it's a bit messy.
First step, would never miss concealer.
I'm gonna go with this NARS one,
because I didn't sleep a lot.
Trust me, before launch, you don't sleep.
All you do is work.
And I still have to take care of my baby girl,
so I need get some serious conceal.
So I really just target shadows.
And that's always what advice,
people always like, skin is beautiful,
and shadows, and sometimes even redness,
it brings some dimension,
so you're not like a flat canvas.
So I don't try to hide too much.
And when you have skin issue, like breakout,
you can just, you know, work by zone.
And work your way through it like that.
That's it, that's done.
That was easy.
Next step is going to be blush.
This pink blush.
This one is one of my favorite,
it's the Pink Ingenue from Estee Lauder.
And I like to use it
wherever you have natural like flush,
which is really on the apple of the cheeks.
I don't like to contour it,
'cause I don't like to change the features
of my clients or myself.
I like to keep you you.
A little pink on the cheeks
will definitely make you glow.
So Baume Shine is the baby
that I created,
thinking of the new classic technique.
Which is really showing
some sort of halo of light,
like a really light from within.
Okay, so this is really dewy.
So I like to apply it like this.
And then I'm gonna blend into the skin,
so it's one color fits every skin tone.
So it's really skin friendly.
And because it's small,
you can put it in your bag,
but also your inner corner.
Much more easier.
Cupid's bow.
Chin.
I'm gonna do the other side.
[soft acoustic music]
Check it, like it?
[soft acoustic music]
Okay, good.
Okay, so next, I'm gonna do my lips.
And you guys, this guy, this guy,
this guy is like the love of my life.
Let me introduce you to Petal Bouche.
But I'm gonna show you how to do a ombre,
'cause it's so easy,
it's one product, and really, few seconds.
So the key is to do a thin layer first.
And then, let's play.
[laughing] So, first layer,
all over the lips, everywhere.
[soft acoustic music]
So I always do it my mouth open and closed
to make sure the design is perfect.
Then I do a little V.
[soft acoustic music]
And I always do the tip a little bit higher
than my lips,
because when you put red lipstick on,
you create this optical illusion
that your lips are smaller.
So I'm gonna cheat a little bit.
And then I'm gonna meet the corner
to the tip of my V.
[soft acoustic music]
Okay.
So then that one is done.
I'm gonna color the inside.
So I'm gonna take a tiny bit more red.
Really I want a thin layer, it's super pigmented.
[soft acoustic music]
And massage it together.
And now, I'm gonna show you
how to do ombre, two second.
You grab a little bit more
of the product,
and you're gonna apply on the corner
where you want it to be a bit deeper.
[soft acoustic music]
And then I kind of pat in the center.
Et voila.
And that's it, I have my ombre.
So, that was quick.
Okay, now we're gonna do the eyes, and be done.
So I wanna have my favorite eye pencil,
Burgundy Suede from Lauder.
Actually, this is when
this becomes super convenient.
Up.
And, I wanna put it in the, really, the roots
of my lash.
Because my lashes are quite,
like I'm really brunette,
but then my lashes are, not transparent,
but they're not the most strong lashes ever.
So, in the roots
to stain the roots,
and then a tiny like micro liner on top
and on the outside of the eye,
to give a little bit more depth,
I remove that on the bottom.
Just like how you see the difference?
Like it's really bringing something
to my eyes.
And then we're gonna do mascara.
Okay, so I'm gonna curl my lash.
I really like the eyelash curler.
And I like to do it on one eye,
and right away apply mascara on that eye,
so I really catch that curve, you know?
Because I don't wear false lashes,
or I don't do super creative eye makeup
with this look.
I mean, I don't wear false lashes ever.
So I, you know, make my lash
as much as I can look fabulous.
I really love Pat McGrath mascara,
because it's just the perfect mascara.
It gives length,
but also it spreads well, it brings volume,
super easy to use.
And a bit on the bottom.
Voila.
Okay.
Okay, I'm ready, almost.
Almost, almost.
First product I created for the brand,
it's Avec Amour.
What it is, it's a oil perfume,
oil, oil, oil perfume.
It's a clean perfume,
and it's a roll-on,
and I wanted to have a super chic roll-on,
not in a tube, just so it feels super fabulous
when you take it out of your bag.
Look, right?
So the scent, how can I describe?
Just for the people that know a little bit
about fragrance is embryolisse,
I don't know how you say
in English, vetiver, vetiver?
Bergamot, bergamot?
So it smells warm,
there's freshness at the same time.
It's not sweet.
It's for anybody.
It's not just for women.
And it's sexiness with warmness and freshness.
I don't know.
When you put it on,
you're just gonna feel yourself.
That's what I can tell you.
And you put it everywhere you want to be kissed.
[laughing]
Guys, this is it.
This is the day of launch.
But this is basically, I hope this look
can inspire you for your Zoom meeting.
It's not about seducing the person
behind the screen,
it's about making you feel fabulous.
I believe beauty is a mood lifter,
it's very much connected to mental health.
So I really want to position,
especially in my brand,
like a tool to fall in love with yourself.
So that's why I don't want makeup
to change your features,
but I want makeup to make you feel fabulous,
and embrace who you are,
because you are born perfect.
And I know this for a fact.
[sighing] Wish me luck.
Okay.
Do I look good?
Am I ready to do this?
Bye, guys.
[soft acoustic music]
