Tonight, the Globes proved that with subtle updates on tailoring, menswear can be just as dazzling as a sequined gown or tulle skirt—in fact, at this year’s ceremony, strong men’s suiting seemed to hold its own in an evening filled with loads of stellar dresses.

Some of the evening’s best dressed male A-listers? Brad Pitt and Daniel Craig both proved that a classic black tuxedo suit, white shirt, and black bowtie will never tire.
